Look for a little padlock in the bottom right part of your browser to verify that they are, indeed, a secured site. The web address or URL will also start with an "https" in it. The "s" stands for secure.
--The quote you will be given is only an estimate. Please be aware that other factors can play into the final price if you are approved. These factors can include: your prior health coverage, your health history, and more. Some consumers have been disappointed to learn that their quoted price is a few hundred dollars less than what they will actually have to pay. This could add thousands to your costs every year.
It can be difficult to compare plans especially if a plan with Company A isn't quite the same as a plan with Company B. In many cases plans are similar but you may feel as if you are comparing apples with oranges.
If you have questions about an insurance provider or want to verify their ability to operate in the state where you reside, your state's insurance commissioner can help you.
