About The Internet Trade Bureau
The Internet Trade Bureau was formed to help promote fair
business practices on the internet. We are a private
organization (a division of Gregory Services LLC) and not
part of any government agency. Our service involves the
tracking of consumer complaints against our members. We
do not retain members who get excessive complaints. If
you are considering doing business on a website bearing
the Internet Trade Bureau seal, you should do a search.
You'll find that the vast majority of our members have
zero complaints. Customer service is very important to
our members.
We feel it is important for consumers to feel comfortable before
making purchases or spending money via the world wide
web. Webmasters benefit because the doubt is removed when
a consumer sees the Internet Trade Bureau seal.
We
make no guarantees about your experiences with any ITB
member.
We only
allow a site to become a member of the Internet Trade
Bureau after a review of the site by our staff. We
attempt to weed out the applications of those sites that
contain "adult" material, "offensive"
material or sites that look to be an obvious scam. We are
constantly updating our member list as a result of new
memberships, consumer input etc. We aggressively
prosecute those who bear our seal without authorization.
And as stated above, we remove members who receive
"excessive" complaints.
We
need your help. Because our
members are evaluated by complaints against them,
consumer input is important. Most complaints are resolved
shortly after submission. If you feel you have been
treated unfairly, please do a search for the member's
site to verify their membership then click the Complaint link in their listing.
